The 2020 Midwest League (MWL) All-Star Game is the first event of its type that the city of Bowling Green, KY has had the chance to host. The Hot Rods were excited and ready to host the 56th All-Star Game for the MWL, until the pandemic cancelled the 2020 minor league season. After minor league realignment, the Hot Rods are set to host the All-Star game again for the 2021 season for the now high-A Midwest League.

The event branding was created to highlight hot rod and car aesthetics that car enthusiasts around the area can appreciate. Branding centers around one of the original and most popularly used car for hot rodding, a 1930’s Ford Roadster. Hot Rods, by definition, are older or modern cars stripped down and modified for speed and acceleration. Chrome is a major decorative material for most hot rods as well. Our job was to create this theme and design a whole identity system and branding style for the Bowling Green Hot Rods as well as any vendor or media outlet that were tasked with supporting/ promoting the event.
