Background

The World Hockey Alliance (WHA) is a fictional hockey league inspired by dice games I created as a child. The WHA acts like a World Tournament of hockey, where teams all over the world compete for a World Championship. Teams qualify for the World Tournament based on their final standings within their prospective leagues. From there, a 20 team tournament is set up with seeding match ups in a single elimination style tournament with one team the victor at the end. Currently, the WHA has over 60 teams that participate in the World Tournament with 24 teams playing outside of North America in locations such as Paris, Brazil, and Australia. This is a forever developing passion project, so be sure to check back as we add more team profiles!
